School Programmes
Helping rangatahi in Aotearoa to feel at home in their bodies, and to know and understand the true value of themselves.
Postcards that students in our school-based programme wrote to themselves at the completion of the workshop.
Our school-based programmes are our newest initiative, working with young people at their most vulnerable age for developing disordered eating. The initial results of our pilot programs have been incredibly positive, and we have seen fantastic increases in self-confidence, body image, and resilience.
These programmes are designed to help kids develop a healthy and healing relationship with food, body, and mind. Like our other workshops, they are based on the evidence-based frameworks of Health At Every Size (HAES), Intuitive Eating, Te Whare Tapa Whā and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
We are always looking for more intermediate schools to take part in this pilot programme. If you are interested in bringing an Āhei programme to your school, please reach out and let us know.
